Responsibility resources of to move forward.
I have been in some type of ministry position in multiple churches over the past 16 years. We have a term we use for people who just show up, never serve in a ministry, never give financially, and never engage with other people. If some how the church captured their information when dropping their kids off in the kids ministry we would label them in our database as an “attender.” You might even be labeled as a member, if you went through the churches process of membership. We have two categories for members “active” and “non-active.” If you non-active you are an attender. So many Christians fall in this category.
If you are following Jesus you should be actively engaging in the mission of God’s people. Today I want to share a tool with you to help you discover your gifts. This will take some time. So do this when you can spend a few minutes working through these 99 questions. Go to this site and I would love to hear your results. At the end you can share your results through social media or just email me email@example.com.
You will find that the gift of attender is not on the list. I hope you will actively purse God’s mission of making disciples.
6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Romans 12:6-8
