We believe there is one true God.

Everyone one has a father but some of you don’t have a father. Some of you had way less than perfect fathers. You may have been abused or abandoned altogether by your father. Some of you have had great fathers who have tried their best to raise you and as you move into adulthood have become father-friend. I believe the relationship with your father puts you on a trajectory for your life that can either help you or cause you a few extra stumbles along the way. No matter the way you see your earthly father there is a perfect father who will never abuse you or abandon you.

God is a perfect, loving father who wants what is best for your life. Of all the religions in the world there is no God like the one true God. He will never fail you. You can not fail Him. He will never let you slip from His hand. He loved you so much that He would create us, put on human form and live among us, and deposits His Spirit in those who turn their hearts to Him. There is no other father like our God. He is perfect and you can trust Him with your life.

Today ask God to search your heart and to save you from yourself. Grab the hand of our perfect father and trust him for every moment today. To be fully present in every moment and ask God what are you leading me to do right now.

“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.
“You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God—
there never has been, and there never will be.
11 I, yes I, am the Lord,
and there is no other Savior.
12 First I predicted your rescue,
then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.
No foreign god has ever done this.
You are witnesses that I am the only God,”
says the Lord.
13 “From eternity to eternity I am God.
No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.
No one can undo what I have done.” -Isaiah 43:10-13

During this series called “Required” I am challenging everyone to read through the book of John 1-21. It takes 21 days to make a habit. Start by reading a chapter a day for 21 days. I promise God will speak to you.
