Eating fuels us to be spiritually fit.

What you consume affects your whole body. The same is true spiritually. What you allow to go into your mind and your heart will affect your soul. The Bible talks about taking every thought you allow into your mind captive. Make sure that it is true and builds you up, and doesn’t lead you down a bad path. Today I want to share some thoughts from the book of Proverbs that will nourish you spiritually. Consume these words and let them fill you up.

  • Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding – Proverbs 3:5

  • The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. – Proverbs 1:7

  • There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. – Proverbs 14:12

  • Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. – Proverbs 4:23

  • “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” – Proverbs 30:5

  • As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17

  • Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed are those who heed wisdom’s instruction. – Proverbs 29:18

  • A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. – Proverbs 17:22

  • Those who conceal their sins do not prosper, but those who confess and renounce them find mercy. – Proverbs 28:13

  • Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. – Proverbs 16:3

  • A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. – Proverbs 15:1

  • The highway of the upright avoids evil; those who guard their ways preserve their lives. – Proverbs 16:17
