Have you ever had to drive somewhere for the first time without a GPS or directions of any kind? Sort of scary right? You kind of just point yourself in a direction and hope for the best. With a GPS, you begin feeling a Magellan sized confidence wash over you. Armed and ready, your trip has now become lost-proof. Well, most of the time. Sometimes, however, a road is closed, or a detour is required. When this happens, the robot voice says “recalculating” to assure you that it will keep you on track and you will still wind at your destination.
Life is a lot like a trip to a place you’ve never been before. A trip full of twists and turns, detours and closed roads. Even if we know where we want to go, getting there can seem like a roll of the dice sometimes. How can we move with confidence in our choices when we don’t even know the lay of the land? There’s only one way, and it is found in the Bible.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. – Proverbs 3:5-6
If we keep our trust in God, and follow His guidance, we can be confident we will reach our destination. Even when life throws us a curveball, we can rely on God for the recalculating and rest assured that He will keep us on the right track. Are you letting God guide all that you do? Put your trust in Him, and travel through life confidently!
