Exercise makes you spiritually fit.

One of my favorite Bible teachers to listen to is Andy Stanley (@andystanley). He is one of the most gifted teachers on the planet! He often talks about how most big things in life (whether great or terrible) usually do not happen overnight. They are the result of small choices made consistently over and over again. Time on time. These small decisions can have a huge impact in your life!

I am currently experiencing this in my own life in the area of physical fitness. I started working out at a CrossFit gym six months ago and I am stronger, more flexible, and have more endurance than I did when I started. This progress, however, has come at a price. It has taken me getting up early, pushing myself, and doing what my coach says time and time again.

The Bible also talks about this concept using the farming terms reaping and sowing. The idea of reaping what you sow basically means you will pull out of the ground what you plant in the ground. If you plant bad seeds, you will harvest bad plants. If you plant good seeds, you will reap a great harvest. The same is true in life. If your life is based on bad choices, you will harvest bad consequences. If you plant good choices in your life, you will have the opportunity to harvest good things.

Being spiritually healthy takes consistently planting good choices. Taking the small steps necessary to exercise your faith every day will result in great blessings in your life. What choice do you need to start making everyday to help you grow spiritually?
